Tony Justice reveals the newly-custom 2006 Peterbilt 379, Purgatory, with Bennett at MATS 2025
At the 2025 Mid-America Trucking Show, longtime trucker and country music artist Tony Justice revealed the latest evolution of his high-mileage workhorse — a 2006 Peterbilt 379 with more than 4 million miles behind it, about 2 million of those under Justice’s tutelage. He started his journey in the truck in 2011 when it was owned by Everhart Transportation, and this year brought it to MATS, now with the Bennett Family of Companies and a fresh new look, the result of months of work, support from sponsors, and countless miles on the road.
From a stretched 300-inch wheelbase to custom fiberglass panels, a full LED lighting package, and a brand-new paint job, the transformation is far from finished — but it’s already turning heads. Justice calls it a work in progress, with interior and engine bay upgrades still on the to-do list. But what’s already been done speaks volumes.
In this video, Justice talks with 2024 Overdrive Trucker of the Year Alan Kitzhaber about the vision behind the build, what’s still left to do, and why a truck with millions of miles on it is just getting started.
